What does this involve?
Leading the 1st team on and off the field. Decide on batting order, bowling changes and fielding positions to give us the best chance to win every game. Also ensuring all the small parts are prepared for the game, such as getting everyone to the game, match balls, scorecards, drinks, match fees.
Junior team coach – work with the junior members of the club to improve their cricketing skills and prepare them for games
What do you do in “real life”? .
Graduate Sports Rehabilitator, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. Graduate Academic Assistant at Middlesex University on the BSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation Degree, as well as working with the many sports teams at the University, Middlesex County Cricket Club, MCC Combined Universities Cricket, Ipswich Town Football Club and Worlds Strongest Man Competition 2014 and 2015.
How did you get involved with Chippenham Cricket Club?
Moved from a local club after returning from studying in London. Loved the feel of the club, the welcoming nature and the great atmosphere. Started playing the occasional game and started playing for the competitive Saturday team in 2013.
What is your first cricketing memory?
Watching England and West Indies on Channel 4, then trying to replicate it all in the garden!
