The summer officially starts on Monday April 11th at Chippenham CC as we start our Monday night coaching. This will run every Monday until August 22nd (excluding with bank holidays). This is 18 weeks in total. This year though we will be splitting the groups across the following times:
U7, U9 and U11 – 5.15pm-6.30pm
U11, U13 and U15 – 6.30pm-7.45pm
If your child is under 11 (school years 5 and 6) then you can come at either time slot. Thanks to all of you who have a child in the U11 age group and have already emailed me to tell me which slot they will be attending. While is doesn’t matter which session they come to it is very helpful from a planning perspective to know who we can expect at each time slot.
Also all children in school year 5 and above will be training with cricket balls and therefore all boys in these age groups need to wear a box to the coaching nights.
Memberships for 2016 are now due and for 2016 this will be £35. There are 18 Monday night coaching sessions (April 11th-August 22nd) so we believe this offers good value. If your children have any friends who would like to attend please encourage them to come along. As in previous years, all new players get two free weeks to see if they like it before we ask for membership.
As always, if any parents are willing to help at our coaching sessions we would be keen to hear from you so please let me know. This could be helping with the sessions themselves, or helping with the register of checking children in and out, or making cups of tea and coffee for other parents who are watching the coaching sessions.
As in previous years we ask that when dropping of and collecting children you park on the grass well away from the entrance (alongside the hedge and close to the tennis courts is good) and you make sure your child has been signed in. For signing in we will be trying out a new system this year where we aim to sign you in and as you arrive. Therefore for please look out for someone who will be waiting to do this just before you enter the ground. If you are walking to the ground please make sure you report to the person at the entrance so they can sign you in.
